Description A "Sculpture" that directs our attention upward, toward the cosmos, as his later work would do

Caption Ezra Orion's career began with earthbound projects like this "Sculpture". It was about this time the same time that organized the Desert Sculpture Park in Mitzpe Ramon by inviting sculptors from several countries to install projects along the rim of Ramon Crater. Eventually he took on grander projects, turning his attention to Mars, the Milky Way and the Universe. It is tempting to suggest that this sculpture is not standing on end, but is aimed at the heavens, where his laser beams art work would eventually be directed.
The sculpture was a "gift of the artist with the help of Audrey Sacher, London"
