Caption "Born in 1950, Jerusalem. Lives and works in London. Gabriel Klasmer is well known in Israel, where he was working exhibiting and teaching since the early 80's. Klasmer exhibited in numerous Galleries and museums in Israel and abroad. He was awarded several art prizes among them the prestigious Israeli Museum's Sandberg Prize (1990). He is in major collections of the museums in Israel, and in the Museum of Modern art in New York, along many private collections. In 1996 Klasmer represented Israel in the 23rd International Biennial of Sao Paulo."From: public art in Tel Aviv:"A municipal sculpture project was recently completed (in Tel Aviv) in which some 60 sculptures and other artistic creations by Israeli artists have been put on display along boulevards and in parks, streets and public squares, joining the 36 works that had previously been positioned.
